Graffiti

Graffiti art is very cool because it uses so many colors and has such a unique flare to art. It is very cool because it does not have any boundaries or rules. With Graffiti one can do whatever they want with there plank canvas. Also because when doing graffiti it is not as militant as other forms of art which makes it a more lively approach.

This image inspires me because it is such a large idea. Also this is what one man get when he starts with a plank canvas and uses his imagination he can get anywhere. This also inspires me because when painting it the lines did not have to be perfect and was not as stressful as other forms of art where one strives to be perfect where being whimsical is better.

Holga Effect

This image along with the other holga photo gives a lot of effect to the image. With the hard parts of this image such as the darkness of the bridge and the electricity wires gives this image a worn look. Also the fence in the for ground of the image gives the image more of a hard feel. The dark edges due to the light leek because of the Holga camera gives this image the effect of a more dark and sad image. It also helps give the effects of old in this image.
This image also has an interesting effect of light in the top of the image. In the top of the image there is a glow effect that gives an idea of life to the top of the image. This gives an interesting effect to the whole image because of the light and dark. The top has a life effect with the halo like glow where the bottom has a more sad and run down look. This image show the opposites through light.

Holga Photography

I think that this image is very interesting because as a normal image taken with a normal camera this image may be a little bit boring but because this image has a cool holga effect with the light leek on the side of the image it gives the image the effect of dark and death as this tree shows.
This image is also very cool because it gives the image an old fashion look which also goes with the idea of old and dying. This effect of the Holga light leek gives the effect on this image that lets the image have more of an overall effect.

Italy

When I was in Italy photo opertunities where everywhere. My favorite place to take images was venice because of all the water and canals. There was also alot of interesting achitecture of the buildings along the water side and the old city design was very interesting.

Drips

These images I made this summer by dropping food coloring into cold water to make patterns and designs in the water. When adding more colors to the water adds more swirls and colors to the water.

Found object images

These images I made from simple objects found in the kitchen and then photo shopped them into animals. This images are made out of diffrent colored plates and spatulas. When putting these together they make things that they not normally are.

Richard Avedon

Richard Avedons photos inspire me because of the intesting placement of his models. I like that in his images he can have a very beautiful gown shown at some place that is not luxurious at all. His images are also amazing to me because of where the focal points are in his images. His images where very experimental for the time because they took things that people in this time were used too such as fashion photography and then put them in places that people were not normally used too.

This image show Avedons creative ability. This image has a model in a very elegant dior dress put in between two large elephants. The model is still the focal point even though there is still alot of other things going on in the image. This image is very inspiring because of it uniqueness to this era.

Long Exposures

Long exposure are interesting to me because it shows the fluidity of things that one does not usually think as fuild. I like how the use of a longer shutter speed can cnahge the view of something. When using the long exposure the colors and textures that one normaly sees are changed into a more soft photo.

In this image the tilta whirl looks very soft and fluid and gives a more soft tone to the photo. This photo also shows how the image has some things that are moving such as the rides in the foreground and the background but also thintgs that are not moving such as the carnival around the rides. This long exposure technique alows such a cool effect on images.
